Unique Home Design remodeled our midcentury modern house in Mountain View in 2022. They were very helpful at every step of the process, from exploring design options through completion and cleanup. They were very communicative, sending almost daily updates and photos through a WhatsApp group. Before the job started, UHD "went shopping" with us to choose fixtures, floor and wall coverings, and other key elements. Their recommendations for vendors and design choices were pivotal. Once the job started, UHD collected what we had ordered and delivered it to our site, saving us a bundle in delivery charges. Their experts in plumbing, flooring, wall treatments, electrical, and carpentry always listened to my requests and preferences, and then offered helpful advice. The workers were unfailingly polite and respectful, and clearly take great pride in their craft. In the few instances where we realized a design decision needed revision, UHD understood, and did not push back or hesitate to do the rework. The result is a remodel that we are thrilled with.

I decided to remodel my big old basement. And I had some special requests. I wanted to convert half of my basement in personal gym. Steve from Unique Home Design understood what I needed and gave me great offer so I decided to go with this contractor. During the project Steve was amazing, always available for help or to resolve unexpected issues. The project was finished quick, on time and within agreed price. I got exactly what I wanted and I am very happy with new basement. Excellent contractor!!

We initially hired the contractor to remodel three fireplaces as a test project. Steve Canei, our project manager, was extremely responsive through the entire project, answering questions on WhatsApp almost immediately whenever questions came up. Getting permits in Bay Area has been a source of major delays, but they have a permit runner who is extremely good. She was able to get permits very quickly to our surprise. Also, Steve is a great problem solver. On the day of rough inspection, there was a minor hiccup that we found an hour prior to the inspection that his foreman discovered. We called Steve, he was home within 15 minutes, and he solved the problem right on time prior to the inspection. His prices are fair. We were so impressed by the test project (after having worked with a different contractor on a room addition) that we decided to sign a contract with Steve for our three bathroom remodels. This is currently in progress, but we have been very impressed by the quality of the work and the quality of communication by Steve.

Now that our large scale remodeling project is completed, we don’t have anything to write or say other than good words that can describe our experience with Unique Home Design & Remodeling. Our remodeling project was a large one and it included basically the entire house. They remodeled the kitchen, bathrooms, living room, garage, laundry room, bedrooms and more… the whole remodeling project was finished completely about 3 weeks ago and we now moved in to our house. Shai who was our main guy and our project manager, started the work with many meetings in which he wanted to understand our vision, budget, dreams and more… after that, he than designed the 3D plans of the entire spaces so we can get a clear vision on how everything will look like. After we finalized the plans, Shai brought all his crew to start the work. The remodeling work went smoothly and without any major problem. Everything went according to the plan while all the problems that came up during the work, were handled professionally by the team of people. Now that we moved back to the house, we are still in the process of understanding that we got our dream house and we are so happy with everything they did for us. Unique Home Design & Remodeling’s crew have been nothing but super professional, honest, hardworking people and punctual. We can’t wait to see how everything turns out!

In late 2020, my husband and I hired Unique Home Design and could not have made a better choice. Our project included the remodeling of two bathrooms and some additional electrical and lighting upgrades. We considered over half a dozen companies for this job, but decided to go with Unique because of their superb customer service, even though their bid was somewhat high.
We had a very positive experience. Our project manager Steve was on top of the work at all times: he visited often and effectively coordinated teams, resources and inspections. Everybody who worked on site was punctual and professional. Communication with everyone involved was via text which was quick and effective. Diego's team worked fast and efficiently. Every aspect of the work was completed on time and to our satisfaction. Throughout the length of the project, Steve and Diego diligently addressed all our concerns. Every issue that arose was quickly solved, thanks to Diego's creativity and immense experience. We were especially impressed with Diego's and Rueben's craftsmanship and attention to details. As a result, both bathrooms turned out stylish, beautiful, and very comfortable. Also worth noting is that the team made an effort to protect our floors and furniture and to minimize dust in the house during construction by using tarps and walls of plastic and cleaning up diligently at the end of each day.
We are very happy with the outcome and glad that we chose Unique Home Design for the job. We would definitely recommend Unique to any homeowner who cares about quality of the final result.
